Her versatility: from some points of view is a question of “what she seems she can do well, and what a-little-bit-less (catwalk, for example); from others, even her shots diversity wide range has not been showed so much ‘til now, and that makes of her such a huge puzzle. Briefly, right now, I have no idea of what to think about this girl.

If we take a look to her numbers, they’re quite good and standard “in the business” – 1.77 84/69/87. But I have to admit that her body presence is kind of particular (pretty clear in last Waiter’s tests), and despite her bone structure and body-shape-definition is not the kind I love the most – well, for her kind, she’s really interesting.

And even if for her face features same considerations are quite good (“kind of regular” and nothing really peculiar), well, her “clean face” is as ordinary (someone wrote me “nondescript”) as charming and mysteriously attractive.

In short: I really really like her, and consider some objective limits (especially about her wide-range-versatility) is not bad but merely honest. Apart from that, about what she does absolutely well, what to say?

Oh well, “modeling talking” - if you take a closer look to the sky, you’re going to see something very similar: in some particular seasons if you had some kind of very special and improbable skills (let’s pretend that’s possible… a faaat chance), you’d see skies full of young east-european girls flying through the clouds to reach London, Milan or Paris (well, let’s pretend they won’t go farther – like NY or Japan…). To do what? Build their book, create a convincing portfolio, see what kind of works they’d be able to do and get, have a “taste” of what model life is, and… but, step back: build their book.

I’m going to focus on this thing for sure in another occasion, but now let’s talk about Diana.

She isn’t a “fresh traveler”, I mean, she isn’t a “current year first trip model”, and… a quick comparison with another Lithuanian girl: her name is Ligita U. (Baltic Model / Elite – like Diana) she’s such a different kind of model, tests completely focused on her strong points, and we should not be surprise to see her at Donna Models (Japan) too, ‘cause for her that’s the perfect and most “fitting” place to be.
For her, and, most important, for what came out from her portfolio building, that absolutely highlights on the pure cuteness and “clean face” (about features) model she is (note: Ligita).

Now - back to Diana.
So: models are like… like news. Yes, news. Sometimes there are long periods of mediocre and a little interesting news – and ok, trying to make them look bigger than they are would be ethically unfair. But, when in a stream of not-so-exciting-news (*cough* last Lithuanian models *cough*) you have a very interesting one, well – successful receipt of the news is a very important part of the whole thing. To not use the best layout and paging possible would be a real pity!

Diana is a model with good numbers (1.75 82-60-87) such a particular face, explosive attitude, and I really think she showed something like 10% of her real potential. So, she’s quite young (still not 17), and I’d really really like to tell you: KEEP AN EYE ON HER. ‘cause, talking about news, if you can have doubts about her being “front-page material”, she’s at least second page for sure. And, in a little more specific context, if you search in Lithuania for something better - for the kind of model she is and she could completely have the chance to show, well, it will be so hard to find something more convincing. And if you’ll find yourself surprised “by the news”, well, I’m sure will be definitely for good.

AOB Maaike, Amy and Auguste - and tests

How do I use to say, “quick and painless”?; no, this is going to be quick and somehow quite painful. Btw just a PS for this.

PS Oh, well, wait a second: “agency’s choices about tests direction have been so well-chosen” was absolutely about SPS, and “a little bit less” about some Women recent tests – for the record, Maaike, Amy P. and Auguste A. recent tests (just an example – btw by Demarquet; not his fault, not at all, I like his works) in Paris are, no offence intended, pure lack of personality highlighting; and something I’d have done without so easily.

Especially for three charming and (most important) peculiar girls like these. And if we talk about the “Dutch duo”, beauty (and attitude) peculiarity / amazing posing / outstanding personality are strong points, more than “pretty cuteness” for sure.
-oh well, and even if not here, "the whole story" is good for Rachelle P. too… with Maaike, they’re the Dutch answer to Starsky & Hutch… or Thelma & Louise… or Chip & Dale… or… just anything with an “&” in between! :)

Ok, I have to say that: before receiving mails about her, I had no idea of who this Bo-girl was! well, at Wilma Wakker I noticed (“early”) Gwen L.; and my fav of the agency, Esmé W. – I saw her in some really lovely Anouk Morgan shots I’m still in love with to death… and despite not-so-well-known, she’s very good (go take a look, she’s with Next too).

But: Bo. Honest, about the girl, nothing to say, she’s pure elegant and charming cuteness.

You know, sometimes happens to change your opinion about a friend; I mean, a girl that is just a friend become something else for you, an attractive girl, someone you’d like to date, and so on. I actually think there is a very important introduction to do about this. I mean, you like me quite honest or not? Guess honest.

So: I received things like… well, about my “Lithuania (supposed-to-be very low) objectivity” - and this just wanted to prove the thing is not right; well, not at all.

I absolutely had the chance to pick this or that nothing-special and absolutely mediocre Lithuanian model (even terrible if I wanted to exaggerate and be sure of the easy impact), but I told myself “No, it would be like taking candy from a baby“ (well, even if it’s not that much simple; I mean, babies don’t say goodbye to their candies so easily…). So, to show how much I’m still enough clever (well, wait: at least not completely stunned or “gone nuts” by my Lithuania liking and kind-of-infatuation/fascination) to be objective, I chose Patricija.
Because she’s pretty cute, a fine model after all, with some good moments and some a little bit less good

And believe me or not, maybe I think that just because from a Lithuanian model I expect great – or at least, maybe a little bit great-er then some other countries. Patricija is absolutely young (18) and a long future has to come, with good opportunities and nice expectations about her development; but right now, even if I find her pure cuteness, I have to say I’m not really convinced about an outstanding potential.

++ Maaike K. – How wonderful, Dutch treat...

Ok, very first thing: I hope you know what “Dutch treat” is, or inventing this title would be a total waste of the 37 seconds it took me to do that… btw “Dutch treat” is “An outing or date in which each person pays his or her own expenses” - and you can really think that’s wonderful (nooo, you don’t have to be stingy!)… :)

Then, in this case, “wonderful” refers to Dutch treats, with “treat” meaning “something that causes special pleasure or delight”. And, for fashion new faces, Netherlands is a “nest” for bunches of wonderful and delightful surprises lately – especially SPS.

And I absolutely have to underline that agency’s choices about tests direction have been so well-chosen.
Well, from my point of view, some Jonathan Waiter and first of all Anouk Morgan tests are more than good for some models – they’re pure “doping” (yep, absolutely like EPO for cyclists!), and I have to admit sometimes they’ve been “killer pics” wisely distant from girls real potentialities (we’ll see that in other occasions).
But this is not the case.

So, even if I have to admit (let’s say this quick and painless…) her catwalk experiences didn’t look constantly convincing (it’s been about her presence by itself, not walk or attitude), well, this girl is pure gold in front of the camera. And the best unquestionably still has to come.
